Cadoo Craft Beta
Welcome to the Cadoo Craft Beta server info page!
In 2024, a Minecraft Beta server was added to the Cadoo Craft network. Here's everything to know:
Why Minecraft Beta?
JCadoo first began playing Minecraft in 2011, around when Beta 1.8 was released. The Beta server was added as a cool way get back to that nostalgic, early Minecraft feel, but with the whole Cadoo Craft community involved!
How does the Beta server work?
The server is run part time as a side server from the main world. Both servers can run simultaneously, but the Beta server will NOT be run 24/7. (it's a security risk to run 24/7 since there's no authentication servers for Beta multiplayer).
The current Beta world was generated in server version Beta 1.5_02 (to get clay and no tall grass) and was later updated to Beta 1.6.6. The world may be reset or changed to other Beta versions (such as 1.7.3) later on, which will be announced in the Discord.
Players can gain access to the Beta server by request. All important info and Beta-server related chats are available on the Discord server.
When the server is put online or offline, the status will be announced in #beta-server-status on the Discord.
How can I join the Beta server?
To gain access to the Beta server, just ask JCadoo on the Discord. You will be given the "Beta Player" role, which will give you access to the Discord's #beta-chat and #beta-server-status channels. You can then also be added to the Beta server whitelist.
Once whitelisted, here's how to access Minecraft Beta in your launcher and connect to the server:
Enable "show historical versions" in your Minecraft launcher settings
Set up a Beta installation in your launcher (the current version is listed in the #beta-info-and-rules channel)
Launch Minecraft in the specified Beta version
Go to Multiplayer, and enter the IP address to directly connect (found in the #beta-info-and-rules channel)
If the server is online, you will connect! Whether it's on or off will be posted in #beta-server-status.
